Genius: Teenager Becomes Millionaire After Inventing Lollipop Good for Kids Teeth

By Sonny Joy Nelson

A young teenager has recently become a millionaire after a genius invention that appeals to kids of all ages.

Alina Morse, the 13-year-old “kidpreneur”, was expected to make about $2 million dollars in 2018 for her ground-breaking idea. As a kid, candy is a hot commodity – but also one that may parents place restrictions on for health reasons. Even at a young age, Morse knew there had to be an alternative to unhealthy candy. Thus, the creation of Zollipops, the tooth-friendly lollipop for kids. The website explains the creation of the product:

“When Alina Morse was seven years old, she went to the bank with her dad and the teller offered her a lollipop. While she really wanted to accept, her parents always told her that candy was terrible for her teeth. So she asked her dad, “Why can’t we make a lollipop that’s actually good for your teeth?” And in that moment the idea for Zollipops® was born! Together, Alina and her dad set off to make delicious lollipop treats that were actually good for teeth. In 2014, the first Zollipops treat hit the shelves: a vegan, natural, smart and yummy candy. Alina became known as the “Lollipop Girl,” a true Kidpreneur!”

“Success has been sweet, and Alina has also come up with “Zollidrops” and “Zaffi Taffy.” Her products can be found on Amazon and at Walmart, Target, Whole Foods and a whole bunch of other grocery chains,” according to Liftable.

According to the website and the Chicago Tribune, Morse’s dad told her to do the research for herself. “A younger Alina questioned her dentist and dental hygienist about natural teeth-cleaning ingredients. She went to YouTube to find out how to make candy. She tried her hand at making lollipops at home, but her father, a business consultant, suggested using a nearby candy manufacturer. Alina’s friends helped with the sampling and testing of the pops,” the Tribune reported.

The candy seems to be taking off thanks to its dedicated young founder. This business-minded young girl has a bright future ahead of her if she keeps the same dedication to bringing helpful products to the community.
