GoFundMe For Christine Blasey Ford Raises Nearly Half A Million
Christine Blasey Ford has raised more than $477,000 as of Friday morning.
A GoFundMe set up for the Palo Alto professor is reaching the half-million dollar mark.
As of noon on Friday, more than ten thousand people had contributed $477,228 to “Help Christine Blasey Ford.”
Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) called Ford’s testimony during Thursday’s hearings “heroic.” Vogue wrote an entire article about Ford’s heroism.
“Ford was more than a credible witness today; she was a whistleblower, and a hero to women (and men) across the country and the world” the piece said. ‘Bravery is contagious. Indeed, that’s the driving force behind the #MeToo movement, and you sharing your story is going to have a lasting, positive impact on so many survivors in our country,’ Sen. Patrick Leahy told her. ‘What you’re doing for our nation right now . . . is you are speaking truth that this country needs to understand,’” [Sen. Cory] Booker said.
She has become a cult-like figure on the political left, a symbol of female empowerment. With every endorsement of heroism for making unprovable allegations against Kavanaugh, Ford stands to gain more.
