GOP Campaign Chairman Defends Ilhan Omar, Claims There is ‘No Place’ for ‘Send Her Back’ Chant

This is why the Republican Party was the party of losers before Trump showed up.

The chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is chiding the crowd of enthusiastic Trump supporters who chanted “send her back” regarding Somali refugee Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) at a rally in North Carolina this week.

“There’s no place for… ‘send her back,’” said Rep. Tom Emmer, who leads the NRCC. “I disagree with that completely.”

While Emmer may criticize the patriotic exuberance of Trump’s supporters, he is careful not to condemn the President himself.

“There’s not a racist bone in this president’s body,” Emmer told journalists at an event hosted by the Christian Science Monitor. “What he was trying to say is that if you don’t appreciate this country, you don’t have to be here.

Emmer believes that Trump being on the ballot will allow ‘Never Trumpers’ to vote against the President while supporting down-ticket Republicans, which will help the GOP as a whole. He indirectly blames Trump for losses during the mid-term elections in 2018.

“The last election we heard a lot of people, especially in suburban seats, that were going in, they wanted to vote against the president and all they had was to vote against our guys,” Emmer says. “This time they get a choice.”

Emmer does admit some fault for the 2018 elections, believing that he and other GOP leaders failed at defending themselves adequately on the issue of health care.

“We never explained to the American people that there was no Republican that would ever advocate for eliminating coverage of pre-existing conditions,” Emmer says. “I just think we did a very poor job of it.”

While Emmer may not approve of the crowd’s reaction toward Omar, he offers some strong words of his own for her and her Congressional colleagues Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and Ayanna Pressley (D-IL), commonly referred to as “The Squad.”

“This is not a squad. This is an army of socialists,” Emmer says, calling them “The New Red Army” citing the fact that dozens of Democrats have signed on as co-sponsors for the Green New Deal that would essentially legislate totalitarian communism in the U.S.

“We’re going to be aggressive. We’re not going to back off on that,” he says.

They will be aggressive, but not too aggressive. Omar has been widely accused of immigration fraud, allegedly marrying her own brother in order to receive a green card under fraudulent pretenses.

However, attacking her based on these allegations is considered off-limits and unacceptable by the Republican Party establishment, who wants to be able to control the narrative heading into next year’s election cycle.

WEAK: Bernie Sanders Allows Nevada Rally to be Overrun by Deranged Anti-Dairy Activists

And this guy wants to be President?

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), the presumptive front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination, demonstrated his weakness in allowing his rally on Sunday in Carson City, Nevada to be overrun by deranged anti-dairy activists.

“Bernie, I’m your biggest supporter, and I am here to ask you to stop propping up the dairy industry, and stop propping up the dairy industry,” an activist said after she wrestled the mic away from the frail 78-year-old socialist with a bad ticker.

The clip can be seen here:

After the microphone was cut off and security attempted to remove the activist from stage, three other anti-dairy activists showed up topless to protest Sanders’ supposed pro-agriculture beliefs as well.

The group behind this protest calls themselves Direct Action Everywhere, and they have identified the protester who grabbed the microphone from Sanders as Priya Sawhney, who lists herself as the co-founder of the organization.

“I love Bernie, but we must hold abusive industries accountable, not shield and subsidize them. Animal farming is an industry which gives welfare payments to millionaires,” Sawhney said in a statement included in a press release from the organization. “People are fed up. Like the Sanders campaign itself, animal rights is a burgeoning mass movement.”

This is not the first time that Sanders has allowed angry, unruly activists to take over his rallies. He did so in 2015 when he allowed Black Lives Matter to rush the stage and actually handed the microphone over to those belligerent racial-grievance mongers.

The Hill reported on Sanders’ weakness during his first presidential campaign:

Protesters who claimed affiliation with the Black Lives Matter movement stormed the stage during a rally for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in Seattle on Saturday, taking over the microphone and forcing Sanders to leave without ever speaking.

Moments after Sanders took the stage at Westlake Park, two women and one man climbed the stage and confronted the Democratic presidential candidate, demanding a chance to speak.

After several moments of confusion and confrontation, an event organizer took the microphone and said the protesters would be allowed to speak before Sanders. Some in the crowd booed.

One protester, who identified herself as Marissa Johnson, began by saying, “I was going to tell Bernie how racist this city is — with all of its progressives — but you’ve already done that for me. Thank you.”

Johnson spoke, among other things, about police violence in Seattle, mentioning a federal investigation into the city’s law enforcement that resulted in the appointment of a monitor to make sure Seattle police were complying with the terms set forth by the Justice Department.

“Bernie says that he’s all about the people and about grassroots. The biggest grassroots movement in this country right now is Black Lives Matter,” she added.

If Sanders somehow becomes President, he will likely be kicked around by world leaders in the same manner that he is kicked around by left-wing activists.
