Growing Chorus of Conservative Lawmakers are Calling for Biden’s Removal

More and more conservative lawmakers are calling for Joe Biden’s removal in the wake of his botched Afghan withdrawal which resulted in the deaths of 13 U.S. service members – most of whom were in their early 20s.

Illinois Congresswoman Mary Miller last week joined a growing chorus of conservatives in the House and Senate who’ve called on Joe Biden to resign or be impeached over his administration’s gross negligence which enabled ISIS-K to carry out suicide bombings outside of Kabul airport last Thursday, The Pantagraph reports.

In total, some two dozen Republican lawmakers so far have called for Biden’s removal from office. Some, like Rep. Madison Cawthorn, have even urged Kamala Harris to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Biden from office.

Senators Josh Hawley (MO), Marsha Blackburn (TN), and Roger Marshal (KS) – all of whom are national conservative Republicans – have urged Biden to step down amid the chaotic disastrous evacuation effort in Afghanistan.

In his statement, Hawley said: “Joe Biden has now overseen the deadliest day for US troops in Afghanistan in over a decade, and the crisis grows worse by the hour. We must reject the falsehood peddled by a feckless president that this was the only option for withdrawal. This is the product of Joe Biden’s catastrophic failure of leadership. It is now painfully clear he has neither the will nor the capacity to lead. He must resign.”

Reps. Matt Gaetz (FL), Mo Brooks (AL), Marjorie Taylor Green (GA), Elise Stefanik (NY), Claudia Tenney (NY) are among the other notable Republican congressmen who’ve either called for Biden’s resignation or impeachment.
