Hackers Stole $2.3 MILLION from Wisconsin GOP, FBI Investigating

Wisconsin Republican Party Chairman Andrew Hitt has said that hackers stole $2.3 million from his party’s federal account, according to an AP report.

Hitt also said that the FBI is currently investigating the hack, which appears to be a stand-alone incident rather than part of a coordinated hit on other state GOPs.

The money stolen was for already-completed services. “Our operation is running at full capacity,” said Hitt.

So how did the hackers do it? They “manipulated invoices from four vendors who were being paid for direct mail for Trump’s reelection efforts as well as for pro-Trump material such as hats to be handed out to supporters.”

Wisconsin is one of several battleground states considered up for grabs by either Joe Biden or Donald Trump. Despite the media touting absurd outlier polls, the Trump campaign is confident that the president can win the Badger State once again.
