House Speaker Mike Johnson Urges Joe Biden to Use Executive Power To Stop Illegal Immigration Invasion at the Southern Border

House Speaker Mike Johnson recently urged President Joe Biden to use executive force to halt the seemingly non-stop illegal immigration invasion at the United States’ southern border with Mexico.

Per a letter that Axios reviewed, Johnson told Biden he must use his executive powers over immigration to halt the flow of illegal aliens that are overwhelming the southern border and have sapped Border Patrol resources.

“We passed H.R. 2 more than six months ago, but Senate Democrats have refused to act on it,” Johnson wrote, making a reference to Republicans’ border security proposal. “While a bipartisan group of Senators has begun extensive negotiations over the past few weeks to try to find a compromise, they have not yet been able to finalize an agreement.”

Johnson specifically called on Biden to restore the enactment of the “Remain in Mexico” policy which forced border crossers to stay in Mexico as their asylum cases went through the judicial process in the US.

In a similar vein, Johnson urged Biden to immediately terminate his regime’s use of several parole programs that are a part of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Catch and Release network.

The parole programs let roughly 5,000 illegal aliens be released into the American interior on a daily basis.

On top of that, Johnson stated in the letter that the Biden regime should start constructing the border wall again in addition to expediting the “removal so that aliens are screened and immediately removed if they cannot demonstrate asylum eligibility.”

One of the most notable requests that Johnson made in the letter was for Biden to scrap the policy that grants work permits to border crossers who are let loose into the American interior on parole.

In all honesty, Johnson’s request will be ignored by Biden. The Biden regime will continue its open borders experiment out of sheer political expediency. After all, migrants overwhelmingly vote for the Democratic Party. Mass migration is the Democrats one-way ticket to electoral hegemony.

Johnson should focus more of his energy to ensure that Republicans maintain and even expand control of the House during the 2024 election. A strong Republican Congress with an America First White House is the best way to bring some sanity to immigration policy in the country.
