After an illegal alien was pulled over in Tye, Texas last week, police found some cargo that was unusual, to say the least.
“The driver of the vehicle, Efren Morales, 35, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, was charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, with a $35,000 bond listed for the charge, but is also being held by the United States Border Patrol for an immigration violation,” according to KTXS.
Morales was muling 40 grams of meth in addition to five illegal aliens who were hiding under blankets in the bed of his pickup truck. A woman and child were sitting in the cab of the truck with Morales.
“The vehicle’s passenger, Silvia Mireya Cabeza de Baca, 36, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, received the same charge, bond and hold as Morales,” the report said.
All five illegal passengers in the bed of the truck were placed in the custody of United States Border Patrol. One, the only female among the passengers discovered in the bed, had to be treated for injuries sustained during the trip across the border. The report did not detail the injuries.
