Independent Streaming Service BitChute Deplatformed on Election Day
Streaming service BitChute appears to have been deplatformed in a a sophisticated censorship scheme, with hosting services colluding to terminate use of the anti-Big Tech and censorship-free video hosting service on the day of the Presidential election.
Seeking to access BitChute results in an Error 525 message, indicating that the platform itself is disabled.
Bitchute confirmed in a Tuesday tweet that the denial of service came as a result of an conscious internet deplatforming. It’s unclear at this time who is responsible for nuking the platform, which advertises itself as independent from corporate web hosting platforms that are known to engage in political censorship.
