INSANE: McCloskey Couple Charged After Armed Confrontation With Trespassing Rioters

By Richard Moorhead

The Saint Louis couple that became nationally known after an armed standoff with a mob of trespassing Black Lives Matter rioters has been criminally charged for their actions in the incident, with Soros-funded Saint Louis prosecutor Kim Gardner charging both Mark and Patricia McCloskey with felony unlawful use of a weapon and a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree assault.

The McCloskeys had exited their home late last month to confront a mob of rioters who had broken through a gate to the couple’s private community. The rioters are caught on camera trespassing not only in the neighborhood, but walking across the McCloskey property. Mark McCloskey, who was holding a rifle when he confronted the rioters, has recounted that the mob was waving loaded pistol magazines at the couple. His wife, Patricia McCloskey, appeared to also be holding a gun, but the couple has since confirmed that the item in question was a movie prop.

Today my office filed charges against Mark and Patricia McCloskey following an incident involving peaceful, unarmed protesters on June 28th. It is illegal to wave weapons in a threatening manner at those participating in nonviolent protest, and while we are fortunate this situation did not escalate into deadly force, this type of conduct is unacceptable in St. Louis,” announced Gardner. The elected Democrat has consistently dropped criminal charges against left-wing rioters arrested for real property and violent crimes, raising questions as to why she sees it appropriate to criminally charge a couple who did little more than wield a weapon on the premises of their own property.

Gardner also suggested that she would be willing to allow the McCloskeys to participate in a diversion program of sorts, raising questions as to her resolve to prosecute the case against the couple within the court system.

Law enforcement had earlier executed a search warrant at the McCloskey residence, where they confiscated the couple’s AR-style rifle.

However, Missouri Governor Mike Parson has predicted the McCloskeys will receive a pardon in the case that they’re adjudicated guilty in any form, either from himself or from President Donald Trump.
