Investigation Exposes Texas A&M For Not Complying With Texas DEI Ban

In a piece featured on The Blaze, Boise State University professor and Clairemont Institute state coalitions director Scot Yenor highlighted several examples of Texas A&M’s “defiance” of the state government’s diversity prohibitions.
In addition to other restrictions placed on the propagation of DEI at universities, Government Greg Abbott signed a law ending diversity statement requirements for job applicants at Texas universities back in July.
In March, prior to Abbott’s order, Texas A&M independently prohibited the requirement of such statements, vowing a move to a hiring process that weighs merit more than racial or sexual identity.
However, Yenor claims that the school continues to place a priority on DEI in its hiring processes.
”Our investigation of job postings at Texas A&M and within the A&M system shows that Welsh’s comments have real-world implications,” declared Yenor. “Departments are still hiring based on ideological conformity and racial preferences.”
Yenor alluded to several examples of job postings that place a priority on DEI, which includes one for an IT manager who is mandated to advance “workplace diversity and inclusiveness.”
Although a written statement of an individual’s commitment to DEI principles is not necessarily a feature of the admission process applicants go through. Instead, Yenor highlighted that A&M is embedding DEI commitment into job qualifications and requirements.
”Other methods are more subtle,” Yenor detailed. “Instead of asking for DEI statements from job candidates, hiring committees expressly tell applicants that the committee is looking to hire candidates who will celebrate diversity or promote inclusion or help achieve equity. Candidates then fashion letters to show that they will conform to the hiring committee preferences.”
The woke Left is as fanatic as they come. They will not stop until they fully dispossess the US’s core population, which is of primarily white European extraction. Hence, A&M’s complete violation of state law.
Only strong state governments willing to drop the hammer can stop these derelict actors from continuing to advance this degenerate agenda.
