Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Threatens Regime in Change in Iran as Ground War of Lebanon Begins

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in an X post that regime change in Iran will be coming soon as Israel starts their ground war against Lebanon.

“When Iran is finally free, and that moment will come a lot sooner than people think — everything will be different,” Netanyahu said. “Our two ancient peoples, the Jewish people and the Persian people, will finally be at peace. Our two countries, Israel and Iran, will be at peace.”

He said that Israel was eliminating Iran’s “puppets” and there is “nowhere in the Middle East” that is off limits to Israel.

“With every passing moment, the regime is bringing you — the noble Persian people — closer to the abyss,” he said.

This is not hollow rhetoric from Netanyahu, as Israel commits an invasion of Lebanon it is clear that his declaration of total war in the Middle East is no boast.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has confirmed that its troops are conducting “limited, localized, and targeted ground raids” supposedly to defeat Hezbollah targets throughout southern Lebanon. Meanwhile, the country is being shelled by Israeli rockets. Last week, the Israeli airstrikes killed over 1,000 people throughout Lebanon.

The Islamist militant group Hezbollah does not intend to take Israel’s escalations lying down.

“We are quite ready, if the Israelis want a ground incursion, the resistance forces are ready for that,” Hezbollah’s deputy, Sheikh Naim Qassem, said in a video address.

“Israel is committing massacres in all areas of Lebanon until there is no house left without traces of Israeli aggression in it. Israel attacks civilians, ambulances, children and the elderly. It does not fight fighters, but rather commits massacres,” he added.

Qassem made it clear that the U.S. is a partner in this war effort through their extensive support of Israel with foreign aid and weapons transfers. He stated that the U.S. is “a partner with Israel, through unlimited military support – culturally, politically, financially.”

The Lebanon Health Ministry reported that at least 95 people were killed on Monday in a U.S.-sponsored Israeli bombing campaign.

“The Israeli enemy’s raids in the past twenty-four hours on towns and villages in southern Lebanon, Nabatieh, Bekaa, Baalbek-Hermel, and the capital Beirut resulted in a total death toll of ninety-five people and 172 injuries,” the ministry wrote on X early Tuesday.

Israel’s aggression against Lebanon and provocations against Iran will result in serious blowback against the U.S. It will only be a matter of time before Netanyahu and his neoconservative allies are calling for the U.S. to intervene on Israel’s behalf. Welcome to World War 3.
