January 6 Video Exposed Metro DC Police Officer Saying “We Go Undercover As Antifa”

On November 21, 2023, conservative media outlet Just the News obtained damning video footage of an undercover Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officer recorded by his camera behind police lines on the grounds of the US Capitol. The footage was acquired straight from official sources and has not been modified.
The police officer is seen passing water to his law enforcement colleagues who were negatively affected by the use of tear gas that the Capitol Police had used against the pro-Trump demonstrators. The footage captured the officer wearing plainclothes with a gray jacket. The video also shows him with a badge dangling from his neck, thereby outing him as a police officer.
As he helped one of his fellow police officers, the undercover officer said to his colleague that “we go undercover as Antifa in a crowd.”
The footage was recently sent to Congress so that investigators in the House Administration Oversight Subcommittee, chaired by Georgia Congressman Barry Loudermilk, could analyze the official law enforcement response on January 6.
However the video does not clarify whether the police officer was making a reference to acting undercover as an antifa activist in the crowd of pro-Trump demonstrators at the Capitol on January 6, 2021 or any previous experience with Antifa protests — for example, the BLM riots of Summer 2020.
Congressional investigators speculate that the police officer caught in the footage wearing plainclothes is a part of the MPD’s Electronic Surveillance Unit (ESU).
Thanks to the new Republican leadership in the House, more footage from January 6 will be released in the upcoming months. This will help dispel any of the nonsensical insurrection narrative pushed by the corporate media. Now, the grassroots just needs to continue placing pressure on Republicans to continue releasing this footage and getting to the bottom of what happened on January 6.
We cannot afford to let the corporate press continue to shape the narrative of this event to justify the political establishment’s unconstitutional crackdown against otherwise peaceful protestors.
