Kevin O’Leary Believes New York Attorney General Letitia James’ Threat To Confiscate Donald Trump’s Assets Will Greatly Damage Freedom

Kevin O’Leary of “Shark Tank”  fame declared that New York Attorney General Letitia James’ threat to confiscate former President Donald Trump’s assets is “an attack on America.”

James recently announced that she is prepared to seize Trump’s buildings and assets if he does not post his $464 million bond. A judge ordered him to pay this hond in connection to the lawsuit put forth by attorney general James.

“You think about America, the reason this is the number one economy on Earth is that we have laws and we have due process and we have property rights. It attracts foreign capital from around the world,” O’Leary said on Fox News’s “Outnumbered”  on March Tuesday. “All of that is being shaken to the core here. The concept of seizing assets is on a 30-day bond number has never been issued. No insurance company has ever issued anything near this so there’s no chance it was gonna happen. And only giving 30 days’ notice in time, that’s a really bad message and I think New Yorkers should think well past Trump, whether he’s president or not or either this attorney general is gone [in] four or not, it’s irrelevant.”

“This is case setting against the American brand. The most stable country on Earth anywhere to put capital for a long period of time, particularly in real estate, is the United States of America,” he added. “This is an assault on what we believe to be core and I find it extraordinary, I think it’s very troubling, it has absolutely nothing to do with Donald Trump at this point in my view and it is completely bipartisan. This is an attack on America, and I don’t how you can look at it any other way.”

James took legal action against the Trump Organization making the case that the former president committed fraud and overvalued his property and wealth to obtain more favorable loans. She was initially looking to receive $250 million in damages and later demanded $370 million

Judge Arthur Engoron issued a ruling deterring that Trump is liable for allegedly providing false information to banks and insurance companies in September. He ordered Trump to cough up $350 million in damages in a February 16 ruling. Additionally, this ruling prohibited Trump from serving in the capacity of officer or director of any company or organization in New York for 3 years.

Trump’s legal counsel argued that Trump paying the full amount by the March 25 deadline is a “practical impossibility,” per Politico report. Engoron rejected Trump’s legal team’s request in February to halt the judgment.

Indeed, if this case ends up sticking, it will establish a nasty precedent where political opponents of the regime could face politicized persecutions. For simply being on the wrong side of an issue, people could be subjected to tyrannical persecution that would usually belong in a country that the US would be trying to overthrow in Eurasia (Russia, China, and Iran).

The US is now becoming the very country that it supposedly fights.
