Lack Of Police Causing Families to Leave Cities
Lack Of Police Causing Families to Leave Cities-
Families are fleeing cities because of their increasing crime, homelessness, and drug use, arguing that the current situation in many once prominent American cities is simply “out of control” and just “not worth it anymore.”
During an airing of “America’s Newsroom,” Ryle Goodrich explained why leaving Seattle was one of the best decisions he ever made. Stating that Mayor Bruce Harrell is flat out wrong when he claims his city is on track to be one of the safest cities in America.
“I can no longer stand by and watch my children grow up in a city that is becoming increasingly dangerous,” he said.
Goodrich also shared his experience of scanning sidewalks and playgrounds for needles, adding “it’s not a normal place to be.” And, “[Seattle is] completely out of hand.”
Other parents have echoed this sentiment, saying that they too were considering moving their families out of cities like Seattle.
“I don’t want my kids growing up around all this crime and violence,” one mother said. “It’s just not safe anymore.”
Often times Democrat leaders will argue the importance of finding the “root causes” of these issues. Then citing reasons pertaining to topics such as institutional racism and economic problems.
Others see these rises in crime, homelessness, and drug use as a result of lack of support for the police.
“Our police has been so underfunded,” Goodrich proclaimed during his interview. “Things are completely out of control in Seattle still even though the new mayor is trying to do better, and I wish him all the best.”
At the end of the day Goodrich says he just “can’t have [his] kids around all this.”
It’s a sentiment that more and more parents are sharing as they make the decision to move their families out of cities and into suburbs or even different states. Leaving many wondering if these once great American cities will ever be the same.
“I don’t know if Seattle will ever come back from this,” Goodrich said. “I really don’t.”
Even Antifa isn’t happy with the lack of police-at least when it hits in their home turf.
Lack Of Police Causing Families to Leave Cities-
According to the Seattle Police Department, robberies are up a whopping 18% in 2022 compared to the previous year. Aggravated assault was up 24%. Rape was up 21%. And car theft was also up by a whole 12%.
It’s worth noting that families are not just moving out of Seattle because of these increasing safety concerns. They are fleeing places like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, and other major cities for similar reasons.
At the end of the interview, Goodrich encouraged other families still putting up with Seattle’s lack of law enforcement to consider fleeing the city also.
It’s clear that Goodrich is not alone with these concerns. Many others are seeing the correlations between bad policies from incompetent leaders and their impacts on entire cities and populations across the nation.
