LONE STAR PATRIOTISM: Texas Announces That They Will Reject Third-World Refugees

Even as Republican Party governors throughout the country accept third-world refugees, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has refused to accept the admittance of these potentially dangerous foreigners into his state.
Abbott made it official by sending a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, citing border security concerns as his reasoning for rejecting the refugee resettlement program in his state.
“Since FY2010, more refugees have been received in Texas than in any other state. In fact, over that decade, roughly 10% of all refugees resettled in the United States have been placed in Texas,” Abbott’s letter to Pompeo reads.
Despite Texas’ acceptance of refugees in the past, Abbott believes that enough is enough considering Texas has had to shoulder the burden for failed immigration policies for so long.
His letter states that Texas has been “left by Congress to deal with disproportionate migration issues resulting from a broken federal immigration system.”
“At this time, the state and non-profit organizations have a responsibility to dedicate available resources to those who are already here, including refugees, migrants, and the homeless — indeed, all Texans,” Abbott wrote. “As a result, Texas cannot consent to initial refugee resettlement for FY2020.”
The refugee industry is not happy about Abbott making his decision because they lose their federal gravy train if enough states reject the program.
“We are incredibly disappointed but not altogether shocked,” said Krish O’Mara Vignarajah, the president and CEO of Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS) in response to Abbott’s decision.
LIRS and two other organizations that receive taxpayer money to resettle refugees are suing to overturn Executive Order 13888, which was issued by President Trump in November of last year to make participation in the refugee resettlement program voluntary. They hope to overturn this measure to re-open the flood gates for migrants to be trafficked throughout the United States.
“Our hope is that the executive order will be deemed illegal and unconstitutional so it won’t allow for this type of veto process to have any effect,” Vignarajah said.
The refugee trafficking industry is emboldened by cowardly Republican governors who have decided to participate in the program despite its voluntary nature.

The Argus Leader reported that South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem informed the Trump administration last Thursday that South Dakota will continue taking in refugees who will be resettled in the United States in 2020.
Back in September, Trump signed an executive order letting states and local governments opt out of the U.S. Refugee Resettlement Program. Before this executive order was issued, the federal government only had to consult with states.
Noem commended the Trump administration for increasing background checks for applicants trying to seek refugee status.
“Thanks to the leadership of President Trump, the strengthened screening process for refugees entering the United States can give South Dakotans increased confidence that those entering are coming for the right reasons,” Noem said in a statement. “For the communities that want to welcome these refugees, I support giving them that opportunity.”
Abbott has set the gold standard for states around the country to reject the refugee resettlement program, and help preserve the demographic integrity of the U.S.
