Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer Calls on Biden to Promote Stronger Baby-Killing Measures
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has called on the Biden regime to be more vocal about its support for abortion rights as the 2024 presidential election is around the corner.
“I don’t think it would hurt. I think people want to know that this is a president that is fighting,” Whitmer declared on CBS’s Face the Nation. Whitmer continued by noting that using more “blunt language” would be of great use in re-affirming the right to kill babies.
After the 2022 landmark Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, Democrats have largely focused on the abortion issue in an attempt to win over swing voters.
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris headlined a pro-abortion rally in Virginia in xxx January. Biden’s campaign declared that the event underscored “what is at stake for reproductive freedom in 2024.”
The rally stressed the Biden regime’s “commitment to codifying the protections of Roe into law.”
On top of that, the Biden campaign released television advertisements to play in battleground states highlighting the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Democrats are looking to connect the issue to Trump and his appointment of conservative Supreme Court justices that made the overturn of Roe v. Wade possible.
With respect to Michigan, voters approved a ballot proposition — Michigan Proposal 3 — by a 57% to 43% vote in 2022 to enshrine abortion access into the state constitution — a trend that took place in multiple blue states across the nation.
Abortion will continue to be a polarizing issue no matter how one spins it. Republicans would be wise to not overly emphasize the issue but still hold their ground with respect to overturning Roe v. Wade.
Other issues such as immigration restriction and law & order are simply much more important and effective issues in this election cycle for Republicans to tap into.
