Mig-29 fighters offered to Ukraine by Poland

Poland’s proposal to move its MiG-29 fighter jets to the United States has been rejected by the United States. Poland wants the jets transferred to the US who would, in turn, deliver them to Ukraine, but the Pentagon described such a move as not “tenable.”

The US government said that Poland’s proposal shows the “complexities” of transferring the fighters to Ukraine.

Press Secretary for the United States Department of Defense, John Kirby, said in the statement that “It is simply not clear to us that there is a substantive rationale for it.

“We will continue to consult with Poland and our other NATO allies about this issue and the difficult logistical challenges it presents, but we do not believe Poland’s proposal is a tenable one.”

According to a statement by the Polish Foreign Ministry, all MiG-29s will be sent to the US Air Force’s Ramstein Air Base in Germany. As a result, the US government would transfer the fighter jets to Ukraine.

Kirby, however, said that the Polish plan was “too risky” and maintained that the United States and NATO would not want to become directly involved in the conflict between the alliance and Russia.

A CNN report cited multiple sources as saying that Poland’s offer to send used MiG-29 fighter jets to America caught the Joe Biden administration completely off guard. There’s a shock.

A second shock will no doubt be when the majority of  these planes -they will make it to the Ukraine eventually-are going to be shot down by the Russians C-400 Триумф, also known as the S400 Triumph surface-to-air missile.

It is assumed that the MiG-29 jets were procured by Poland under some provisions of the Warsaw pact.
