Missouri Elected Official Wants to Repeal Constitutional Carry After Kansas City Shooting
After a tragic shooting during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade on February 14, 2024, State Representative Ashley Aune, a Democrat representing a district in Kansas City, Missouri, immediately pushed for the introduction of “commonsense” gun control laws. Aune is calling for the Missouri state government Missouri to enact a requirement that individuals have to acquire a permit to carry handguns in public spaces.
Aune claims to be a gun owner who supports the right to bear arms, manifested concern over the current approach to gun control regulation in the Show Me state. “I think it’s a dangerous, dangerous way to approach firearms,” Aune declared.
The fact of the matter is that actions of deranged black criminals should not be used to justify gun grabs against lawful gun owners. The fact is Constitutional Carry is one of the best measures to promote public security.
If gun controllers were actually serious about combating gun crime they would take harsher policies tough on crime policies against black criminals or other people of that demographic, especially starting at the young adult level.
It’s time to dispense with political correctness and start addressing the root causes of social maladies like crime as opposed to using liberty-destroying measures such as gun control.
