America First candidate Blake Masters received a big endorsement on April 25, 2022.
Missouri Senator Josh Hawley endorsed the candidate for Arizona’s open United States Senate seat.
In a tweet, Hawley stated, “Proud to endorse @bgmasters for US Senate in AZ. Blake is principled, honest, and tough. He will take the fight to the woke left, Big Tech & Communist China. He will fight to secure the border & get tough on crime. He won’t just talk. He will lead. Can’t wait to serve w/ him.”

Masters is a venture capitalist, President of The Thiel Foundation, and co-author of Zero to One, which he wrote with billionaire investor Peter Thiel. Now he’s running to receive the Republican nomination in a primary against Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich. Should Masters win, he will go on to challenge Democratic incumbent Senator Mark Kelly in the general election.
Masters is running on an America First platform that stresses law & order, a restrained foreign policy, and patriotic immigration reform that takes on mass legal and illegal immigration.
Hawley is viewed as one of the future leaders of the burgeoning national populist movement that is sweeping across the Republican Party. The Missouri Senator has stood out from his colleagues for his opposition to mass legal migration as evidenced by his support for the RAISE Act (Legislation that places limits on legal immigration) and efforts to halt worker visas during the first months of the Wuhan virus pandemic. This movement is questioning the merits of post-Cold War globalization measures, never-ending wars, and open borders.
A Masters victory would dramatically shake up discourse in the US Senate and put right-wing populist ideas on the national spotlight.
