MMA Superstar Conor McGregor Says Every School Should Have “Armed Protection”

After a 28-year-old female killed 6 people — three children and three adults — at the Nashville Christian school on March 27, 2023, Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Conor McGregor said that every school should provide “armed protection.”

According to a Fox News report, McGregor responded to the attack by posting a tweet where he said that he “would like to see armed protection at each school” across the country.

McGregor also revealed that an armed guard is “present” at his children’s school.

The former featherweight and lightweight champion stressed that if an assailant attempted to shoot up his children’s school the way the woman did at the Nashville-area Christian school, he or she would be met with gunfire and be neutralized. “If she shot her way in to that school from the outside, my guard, who is tucked away, armed and unseen, would have seen her and taken her down. Saving those children’s lives. May God and his best people on this earth protect our children!” McGregor said in a Tweet.

Per a report by Breitbart News, the Christian school where this massacre occurred did not have an armed resource officer present to defend their students and faculty from a deranged mass shooter.

AWR Hawkins of Breitbart News noted the following about how Tennessee elected officials have responded to this mass shooting tragedy:

Sens. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Bill Hagerty (R-TN) are pushing legislation to set aside $900 million in funding to help schools around the country add off-duty police officers, retired police officers, and veterans for security.

McGregor is correct here. Schools nationwide need better security. They’re usually the target of choice for deranged mass shooters because of their gun-free nature. It goes without saying, the average MMA fighter has more sense than the blockhead political class that rules over us.

There also needs to be discussions about the transgender mental illness phenomenon which is largely enabled by the ruling class. This type of behavior must be clamped down on and totally forced to go underground because the tolerance for it effectively constitutes a license to allow for mental illness to be glamorized and encouraged.

McGregor hasn’t been active in the Octagon since 2021, after losing his lightweight bout with Dustin Poirier via doctor stoppage. The former champion is expected to face off against former Bellator lightweight champion and five-time UFC fighter Michael Chandler at the finale of the Ultimate Fighter 31 at an event that is yet to be determined.
