More than 1,000 Looters Terrorize Streets of Philadelphia, Assault Reporter, Steal TV’s

All in the name of social justice.

Philadelphia Police have estimated that more than 1,000 city residents are engaging in criminal looting activity on Tuesday night, in what seems to be the most intense and potent mass looting since the summer Minneapolis riots.

Looters could be seen fleeing a Walmart with flat-screen TV’s in their possession.

At least one looter attacked and beat TheBlaze reporter Elijah Schaffer, who explained the situation with a busted lip that may require stitches.

Schaffer would go on to state that he believed he was attacked by the riotous mob because he is white.

The looting began after the police shooting of Walter Wallace Jr, who died when he was shot by two Philadelphia Police officers. Wallace had rushed the police officers with a knife.

Schaffer reports that more than 30 businesses have been terrorized by the looting mob- and that the thieves are actually shooting one another in what appears to be disputes over stolen property.

At one point in the night Philadelphia Police confiscated what they described as a truck full of firearms from a participant in the looting.

Thugs could also be seen breaking into a Foot Locker store to retrieve new pairs of Nikes, all in the name of avenging Wallace.

At one point, the Philadelphia Police estimated the size of the looting mob at over 1,000. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf had said he was mobilizing the National Guard, but the Guard was nowhere to be seen as the mob looted with impunity. Perhaps the Democrat Governor miscalculated and thought deploying the Guard would be poor optics just a week before the election. However, the criminality is likely to have the opposite effect.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Draws Up Strong Anti-Riot Legislation in Expansion of Stand Your Ground Law

Awesome.

Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis is looking to expand his state’s Stand Your Ground law with specific anti-mob legislation, according to the Miami Herald.

The Miami Herald’s report is negative and critical in tone, but it does mention that Governor DeSantis is simply following up on his promise to crack down on mob violence.

He has proposed expanding, to quote the Herald, “the list of ‘forcible felonies’ under Florida’s self-defense law to justify the use of force against people who engage in criminal mischief that results in the ‘interruption or impairment’ of a business, and looting, which the draft defines as a burglary within 500 feet of a ‘violent or disorderly assembly.'”

DeSantis’ proposal would also make it a third-degree felony to block traffic while protesting, offer immunity to drivers who unintentionally hurt or kill a protester who blocks traffic, and allow the state of Florida to withhold funds from locales that cut police budgets.

Back in September Big League Politics reported on Governor DeSantis’ initial support for this kind of legislation. It appears he is following through.
