Neocon Hack Mike Pompeo Warns About Russia Expanding War In Ukraine to Rest Of Europe

With Russia making gradual gains in Ukraine and decimating the Ukrainian military, it’s becoming clear to the interventionist crowd in DC that Russia will likely come out on top in Ukraine. How Ukraine will end up looking is anyone’s guess.
It will more than likely be split in a Western (pro-NATO) and Eastern (pro-US) half once the dust settles. However, there are neocon fearmongers who believe that Russia is on the verge of kicking off a broader military campaign across Europe.
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has been one of the most vocal neoconservatives warning about Russia’s broader geopolitical ambitions in Europe. On December 29, 2023, Pompeo tweeted “If Putin wins, he won’t stop at Ukraine’s border.
Our allies and our interests will face a constant greater threat, and the cost to America will be far higher.
It is in our core interest to provide Ukraine with the weapons to win and end the war.”

For most neocon/neoliberal foreign policy supremacists, it’s always 1939. In other words, any world leader who tries to assert their will in their respective country’s sphere of influence will be labeled as the second coming of Hitler, thereby necessitating an international coalition of countries to stop said country in its tracks. Never mind that countries like Russia often have legitimate security concerns with alliances such as NATO creeping on their footstep. Imagine how the US would respond to a Russo-Chinese military alliance establishing a military presence in Mexico.
For his part, Pompeo embodies that interventionist ethos down to a T. Pompeo was one of former President Donald Trump’s worst hires. In bringing him onboard, Trump effectively gave neocons an entry into his administration in order to derail it. If Trump pulls off a victory in 2024 and he wants to actually implement an America First agenda, he needs to prevent the likes of Mike Pompeo from assuming key positions in his administration.
Neocons are merely subversive elements at this point.
