Neocon Lunatic Lindsey Graham Calls for United States and Israel to Bomb Iran Over Its Alleged Role in Gaza Conflict
During an interview with CNN, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham declared that he’s in favor of Israel and the United States conducting military strikes against Iran’s oil infrastructure.
When he was asked if the two aforementioned countries should “bomb Iran even in the absence of direct evidence of their involvement” in the attack launched by the Palestinian militant organization Hamas against Israel, the South Carolina senator replied: “Yeah.”
Graham pushed for conducting a joint military operation against Iran’s infrastructure, He stressed that Iran must pay a price if any of the US hostages it takes is killed.
“If there’s an escalation of this war against Israel, I’m blaming Iran, and it is now time to put them on notice. They will pay a heavy price. I think we can do all those things. I think if there was a war with Iran, we would win,” he continued.
On top of that, Graham blamed the recent events unfolding in Israel on Iran.
“If you don’t get the connection between Iran and this terrorist activity by Hamas and Hezbollah, you’re missing a lot,” he continued.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas executed Operation Al-Aqsa Flood by launching a volley of rockets and invading Israel by land, air and sea. Hamas announced that the surprise attack was launched as a response to the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem and increased incidents of settler violence launched against Palestinians.
As a response, the Israeli military launched Operation Swords of Iron to combat Hamas militants. Thus far, in the latest iteration of Israel-Palestinian conflict, Hamas’ attack killed over 1,200 people, with at least 27 Americans allegedly perishing, and 2,800 people wounded. Israel’s retaliatory strikes have killed 1,537 people while wounding 6,000 other people per figures from Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
While Hamas’ attack against Israel was horrific, the US has no business getting involved in this tribal feud in the Middle East. Moreover, neoconservative’s fixation with this conflict merely serves as a launch pad for their much desired war against Iran. Hence the need to indulge the neocon’s perpetual war fantasies.
