New Bill Is Introduced To Protect Citizens From Biden Regime’s CBDC Proposal

Several United States senators recently crafted a bill to prohibit the Federal Reserve from setting up a central bank digital currency.  Texas Senator Ted Cruz, Tennessee Senator Bill Hagerty, Florida Senator Rick Scott, North Carolina Senator Ted Budd, and Indiana Senator Mike Braun were the principal architects of this bill to ban CBDCs — the CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act,

The senators were worried that Americans’ freedoms could be under major threat if CBDCs become adopted on a large scale. The bill has the aim of depriving the Fed the power to “use central bank digital currency for monetary policy, offer services directly to individuals, and for other purposes.”

Senators Scott and Budd argued that the digital dollar would “open the door for the federal government to surveil and control the spending habits of all Americans.”

Cruz called attention to how CBDCs could facilitate the creation of a system that would have the power to freeze people’s assets “for any reason” in a quick manner.

Per Cruz, “The Biden administration salivates at the thought of infringing on our freedom and intruding on the privacy of citizens.”

There’s every reason to fear the creation of CBDCs. Such currencies would lay the groundwork for the creation of a technocratic tyranny where both economic and personal liberties would be destroyed.

Such schemes should be resoundingly opposed. Instead, right wingers should promote competing currencies as an alternative to centralized currencies.
