New York City Converts Hotels Into Shelters to House Massive Influx of Illegal Aliens

The Roosevelt Hotel, a historic symbol of midtown Manhattan, was shut down three years ago. However, it was recently reopened to house a large wave of illegal aliens at a time when other New York City hotels are being turned into emergency shelters.
According to Efthymis Oraiopoulos of The Epoch Times, on May 14, 2023, New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced that the city will use the Roosevelt to provide up to 1,000 rooms for migrants who are have been arriving throughout May due to the expiration of Title 42, a Trump-era public health order that gave federal officials the power to expel asylum seekers from the United States border with Mexico.
Citywide, hotels like the Roosevelt are being transformed into emergency shelters.
Adams claimed that the city is running out of room for illegal immigrants and looked for help from the state and federal governments.
Adams asserted that New York in recent weeks has been witnessing 500 illegal immigrants arrive on a daily basis. Over 61,000 have sought services from the city in the last 12 months.
On May 11, Adams stated that once the rules are changed, “we could potentially get thousands of people a day in our city.”
Title 42 was first enacted in 1944 and gave the federal government the power to halt immigration in order to protect public health. The Trump administration implemented these restrictions at the peak of the Wuhan virus pandemic three years ago.
Title 42 restrictions ended on May 11 and over 10,000 illegal aliens per day are expected to cross the southern border.
Back in April, Adams stated that the illegal alien influx into New York could come with a nasty price tag of $4 billion. This comes at a time when the city is already experiencing a major budget shortfall.
New York City’s political leadership is clearly engaging in an act of wholesale treason by facilitating an illegal alien invasion. But that’s to be expected from a political class that’s on a post-national power trip.
Nationalists must make it a point to take back every city council, county commission, state legislature, and Congressional seat in order to ensure the full restoration of order in this great polity. Future generations are counting on us to save the country from an inevitable demographic collapse.
