New York Files $708 Million Lawsuit Over Migrants Transported by Bus From Texas

The New York city government recently sued 17 bus companies for transporting thousands of migrant invaders to the city from the Mexican border. The lawsuit claims that Texas Governor Greg Abbott has spearheaded this effort, which has kicked off a budget and housing crisis.
The lawsuit was filed on January 4, 2024. New York City Mayor Eric Adams stated that the city was looking for $708 million in compensation from the companies. Lawyers representing New York City argued that this sum is representative of the cost of providing accommodations to the 33,600 asylum seekers being transported to New York City in the last 20 months.
The lawsuit claimed that the bus companies had earned millions of dollars in revenue by helping Abbott carry out this scheme, which violates a New York law that mandates entities who bring “a needy person from out of state” to “convey such person out of state or support him at his own expense”.
New York City lawyers also alleged the companies were acting in “bad faith” and with “evil intent” by charging Texas $1,650 per person for their services, The legal counsel pointed out that the average one-way bus ticket to New York City would usually just cost north of $290.
“New York City has and will continue to do our part in the asylum seeker crisis,” Adams said in a post on X. “But we can’t bear the costs alone — and we won’t let those complicit in [governor Abbott’s] scheme get away with violating our state laws.”
He continued: “We’ll see you in court.”
It’s rich to see Adams and his ilk throw a fit about the effects the very policies they support generate, At some point, the Left must see firsthand the noxious effects of the policies they push.
The Big Apple has been largely pummeled by the Biden regime’s mass migration policies. The fact is that the Biden regime’s deliberate policies that open the border and gut interior enforcement enable millions of migrants to flood into the country and bring about all sorts of upheaval.
The border has to get under control and the entire immigration system has to be overhauled if some semblance of order is to be restored in the US.
