NYPD Union Blames Mayor De Blasio for Student Stabbing Death: ‘You Have Ruined New York City’
Following the tragic murder of a college student, the Sergeants Benevolent Association (SBA) – a labor union representing the New York City Police Department (NYPD) – is not accepting lip service from Mayor Bill de Blasio.
Your full of shit, say no more, people don’t believe you and have no faith in you. Your anti police policies have emboldened the criminal element to run freely, to rape, rob and murder. You have sided with criminals and placated the loud & unruly YOU have RUINED New York City. https://t.co/CM8Wv5D4y7

Tessa Rane Majors, 18, was a freshman at Barnard College in New York before she was gruesomely stabbed to death earlier this week. Her body was found near Morningside Park in Upper Manhattan on Wednesday night. According to the NYPD, she was taken to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital where she was declared dead.
NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison said that she may have been stabbed by as many as three people. No arrests have been made so far but an investigation remains ongoing. One person of interest has been questioned, but they are no longer in custody.
“Tessa was just beginning her journey at Barnard and in life,” Barnard College president Sian Leah Beilock said in response to Majors’ murder.
“We mourn this devastating murder of an extraordinary young woman and member of our community. This is an unthinkable tragedy that has shaken us to our core,” she added.
The SBA has criticized Mayor de Blasio many times for his soft-on-crime policies that they believe are ruining the city.
“He’s no doubt making it more dangerous,” SBA President Ed Mullins said of de Blasio. “And ultimately I hold him personally responsible for the injuries that are sustained by New York City police officers and to the general public. Because his comments that he makes are not one of leadership, they’re not one of peace, they’re not one of giving direction of lawful orders to which this nation is built upon. They’re one of placating to the naysayers and the critics and they create a standard that people feel ‘Hey, I can get away with these things.’”
The SBA was especially critical of de Blasio as he attempted his vanity presidential run earlier this year, essentially abandoning his city to travel the country campaigning for a position that he had no chance of ever obtaining.

De Blasio’s city has turned into a “Wild West”-style hellscape in recent years:
New York City is quickly turning into the wild west this summer, as a rash of shootings across the five boroughs has left several innocent bystanders with bullet wounds.
CBS2 has learned that, this month alone, seven people have been struck by stray bullets in six different incidents in the city. The most recent was Wednesday morning…
As bullets flew through a Bronx neighborhood, one hit a car – piercing the windshield. More importantly, an innocent woman got shot on a street she’s walked on for years.
“I can’t believe it’s me right now,” Angela Saltarelli said.
It happened on a block in the Bronx where parents push strollers and children enjoy their local playground. The stray bullet left Saltarelli’s arm gushing with blood.
“I looked down and I’m like ‘oh my god, oh my god, I’m shot, I’m shot!’”
Wearing a bandage and her hospital ankle bracelet, the 39-year-old told CBS2’s Jessica Layton she got caught in the crossfire of a fight as she walked to work Wednesday morning on Williamsbridge Road.
Witnesses nearby wrapped her arm and rushed her to a local hospital. Angela is the second victim of random gunfire in the city just this week.
“My husband was an innocent person that died,” Terry Solomon said.
Solomon is still crushed and confused over the loss of his partner of 18 years. While walking their dog Monday morning, Winston McKay unknowingly walked into a fight and was shot in the leg near his home in Hamilton Heights.
Police released disturbing surveillance video of a suspect in a hooded sweatshirt appearing to point his rifle toward his intended target before shooting the 40-year-old man who was just minding his own business.
Unfortunately, Ms. Majors will not likely be the last victim of murderous criminals emboldened by de Blasio’s liberal policies.
