Ohio RINOs Plot to Stop Trump’s J.D. Vance Endorsement

Ohio RINOs Stop Endorsement

RINOs in the state of Ohio are uniting in an attempt to block President Donald Trump’s anticipated endorsement of right-wing populist J.D. Vance for U.S. Senate.

The Ohio RINOs are seizing on statements that Vance made before the 2016 election in which the Hillbilly Elegy author doubted President Trump’s ability to lead.

“We know there are many qualified candidates in this race who have stood up for the America First agenda over the years and have carried the Trump mantle over the years, again with the notable exception of JD Vance,” the RINOs wrote. “While we were working hard in Ohio to support you and Make America Great Again, JD Vance was actively working against your candidacy.”

The RINOs added that “an endorsement that cuts against your support and legacy in Ohio will only serve to confuse or upset voters.”

Although Vance may not have supported Trump six years ago, he has shown by far the most fidelity to Trumpian ‘America First’ principles during this year’s U.S. Senate primary race. He has even won over Donald Trump Jr.

Ohio RINOs Stop Endorsement

Big League Politics has reported on Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) giving her endorsement to Vance in the Ohio U.S. Senate race:

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia endorsed J.D. Vance in Ohio’s crowded and expensive 2022 GOP Senate primary.

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene endorsed Vance in a statement to FOX saying “JD Vance is the conservative warrior that the entire America First movement needs fighting for us in the U.S. Senate, and that’s why I’m proud to endorse him.”

Greene refuting the opposing talking points said “JD is 100% pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment and pro-Trump.”

MTG, as she is affectionately known,, said “If you agree with me that Washington desperately needs more America First fighters in the mold of President Trump, then it’s vital to support JD’s campaign in Ohio,” she stressed.

Vance enjoys the backing of a number of prominent figures on the right including Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri and Rep Jim Banks of Indiana, the chair of the decades-old caucus of House conservative lawmakers known as Republican Study Committee. In addition, TPUSA’s Charlie Kirk backs Vance. And some former Trump White House and campaign aides and advisers are also helping or working on Vance’s campaign.

Vance is one of 11 GOP candidates running to succeed retiring Republican Sen. Rob Portman. The field also includes former Ohio treasurer and former two-time Senate candidate Josh Mandel; former Ohio GOP Chair Jane Timken; Cleveland businessman and luxury auto dealership giant Bernie Moreno and others.

Vance has fought for populism and the America First movement. Many believe he is the inspirational candidate Ohio needs. He has the fight in him to take on the establishment and the left.
Vance’s rise is scaring the pants off of the Ohio GOP establishment.
Hopefully Trump does not fall for their cheap tricks.
