Oklahoma Considers New Agency Designed to Give Work Visas and Driving Privileges to Illegal Aliens

The supposedly conservative government of Oklahoma is using taxpayer resources to get more work visas and drivers licenses in the hands of illegal aliens.

“The majority of people who are non-citizens are really actually highly educated,” said Tricia Everest, who serves as Oklahoma Secretary of Public Safety, in a KOCO 5 news report.

Everest is the Chair of the Oklahoma State Work Permits and Visas Task Force, appointed by Republican Governor Kevin Stitt to serve in the posiiton. KOCO 5 describes the bureaucracy’s “main focus” as “finding ways to help immigrants get their visas, paperwork and permits.” One of their ideas is to create a new agency called the “Office of New Oklahomans” that will facilitate the overrunning of Oklahoma with foreigners.

Everest believes that her state needs illegals to remain competitive in an increasingly globalized marketplace.

“If we have individuals – non-citizens – that are coming and they’re training in our Universities and they become specialists in fields where we need them. We need nurses. There’s not enough visas available nationally for them to even practice,” Everest said.

“Here we train all of the talent, and they have to go back to the country of origin and they have to go back through the process?” Everest added, criticizing strong immigration law.

An idea being entertained by Everest and her cohorts is giving illegal aliens “driver privilege” cards, a form of a drivers’ licenses that would put lawbreakers on the road.

Big League Politics has reported on how leftist policies are spreading to Oklahoma and weakening that solid red state:

A teacher who had been previously charged with child pornography possession and marauds as a drag queen is now the principal of an Oklahoma elementary school, and school administrators are defending the decision.

Shane Murnan was hired as principal of John Glenn Elementary School in Oklahoma City back in June despite being charged with felony possession of child pornography back in 2001. He was a fifth-grade teacher at Will Rogers Elementary School when investigators reportedly found deleted images on his computer “depicting adolescent boys having sex with each other.”

Murnan’s charges were ultimately dismissed on a technicality with his attorneys arguing that since the graphic images were deleted from Murnan’s computer that they could not prove he was in possession of them, and the charges were eventually expunged from his record entirely.

“After careful consideration of the issues and whether we would ever be able to prove he was in possession of the deleted materials, we have decided not to appeal,” said District Attorney Rob Hudson after a judge ordered the dismissal of Murnan’s child porn charges.”

No state is safe from left-wing insanity as Republicans roll over either out of cowardice or because they have sold out.
