Pennsylvania Election Official Warns About Delays in Counting Votes

Pennsylvania’s Secretary of State is now warning that the 2022 midterm elections set to take place on November 8, 2022 could be delayed.

This announcement came after 240,000 unverified ballots were mailed out to voters. Secretary of State Leigh Chapman announced that revealed that there will likely be delays in the publication of the results following the midterm elections.n

“It’s really important for us to get accurate information about the election process in Pennsylvania,” Chapman stated in a virtual conference where she observed that it would likely take “several days” to count and realize the certification of the votes.

“So voters and the public know that when there are delays in counting, it doesn’t mean that there’s anything nefarious happening. It’s just what the law is in Pennsylvania,” Chapman added.

Per Chapman, delays will largely be due to poll workers not being able to pre-canvas, or count mail-in ballots in the leadup to election day.

Chapman called on voters to proceed and send in their ballots. Republicans, on the other hand, urged voters to keep their mail-in ballots and send them to their local board of elections on election day. Chapman believes that the Republicans’ advice could cause voters to be disenfranchised.

“We have heard that there’s messaging out there in Pennsylvania, as far as instructing voters to hold onto their mail-in ballots,” she stated. Chapman continued by noting that “As part of our voter education campaign, we encourage voters to request that mail-in ballot now and return it as soon as possible. We don’t want voters to delay.”

Chapman reported that over 1.2 million mail-in ballots have been requested across Pennsylvania, while 43% (556,000) have been returned.

In recent years, Pennsylvania has become a much more competitive state electorally. Due to the white-working class realignment, the Keystone state has gone from being a safe blue state to a swing state.

Because of this, Democratic elites have been compelled to pull off all sorts of questionable electoral schemes to rig elections and make sure that Republicans, especially nationalists, don’t come out on top.

At this point in the political came, any Republican who does not take strong stances on voter integrity measures should not be trusted. In effect, they’re allowing the enemy to win.
