POLL: Majority of Americans Demand that the Biden Administration Maintain Title 42 Restrictions

Yet another poll indicates that Americans are in favor of commonsense immigration restriction measures.
According to a Fox News poll, the majority of American voters want President Joe Biden to maintain Title 42, a public health order that has been used at the southern border with Mexico since the outbreak of the Wuhan virus.
Per the poll’s findings, 63% of voters want Biden to keep Title 42 in place. When it comes to the partisan breakdown, 77% of Republicans, 57% of swing voters, and 49% of Democrats want to maintain Title 42.
Jon Binder of Breitbart News noted that “Less than 3-in-10 voters said they want to see Title 42 ended.”
Americans of the country’s diverse racial groups largely support maintaining Title 42 to stop illegal immigration. According to the Fox News poll, 66% of white Americans, 57% of Hispanic Americans, and 58% of black Americans want Title 42 to stay in place.
On class lines, Title 42 is popular with working and middle class Americans. For voters making less than $50,000 annually, roughly 64% said they support maintaining Title 42.
The white working class is very supportive of keeping Title 42. 70% of white non-college educated voters support keeping Title 42 intact. Individuals who pulled the lever for Trump in 2016 and 2020 back Title 42 by a 66% margin.
A few weeks ago, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that the Biden regime would end Title 42 on May 23, 2022. Under Title 42, U.S. Border Patrol has been able to quickly send back illegal aliens to their native countries.
Mass migration has negative consequences on many fronts — national security, economic, cultural, and political. The public health aspect cannot be ignored though. While the Wuhan virus didn’t turn out to be the apocalyptic pandemic many in the corporate press made it out to be, there are plenty of migrants from the Global South who carry all sorts of deadly diseases.
The cold, hard truth is that a good portion of the countries these migrants hail from have shoddy public health infrastructure and weak public health standards. As a result, these migrants could potentially transmit these diseases to millions of Americans.
This is a risk Americans should not try to entertain. Public health is just one of a multitude of reasons why the US needs to put the clamps on the southern border.
