POLL: Majority of Texas Voters Believe Colin Allred and Kamala Harris Will Undermine the Second Amendment

A new poll discovered that Texas voters believe Vice President Kamala Harris and US Senate candidate Colin Allred would endeavor to destroy Second Amendment rights.

The poll was carried out in  September by CWS Research for Texas Gun Rights. It found that 76% of likely Texas voters believe a Harris regime would “work to restrict access to firearms or limit the type of firearms available to the public.”

An additional 11% signal that Harris and Tim Walz, her vice presidential candidate, would not do so. 13% were unsure.

Allred is a congressman from Texas’ 32 congressional district. He is currently facing off against Ted Cruz in the US Senate.

In sum, 58% indicated that Allred would help the Harris regime to undermine gun rights. 31% were unsure, and 12% believed he would not slavishly follow Harris’s agenda.

“Voters in Texas aren’t stupid,” declared TXGR President Chris McNutt in a press release published on October 2. “They understand the threat that a Harris/Walz administration poses to the Second Amendment rights of Texans. Harris, Allred, and the Democrats desire to restrict gun rights would make all Texans less safe. I’m encouraged to see Texans are continuing to support pro-gun rights candidates.”

49% of Texas voters are against the restoration of an assault weapons ban akin to the Federal Assault Weapons Ban of 1994,  which both Allred and Harris appear to back.

In the meantime,, 41% signal they backed a prohibition, and 11% were unsure. In the poll, TXGR classified an assault weapons ban as a prohibition or set of stringent restrictions on specific “semi-automatic handguns, shotguns, or rifles that accept a detachable magazine.”

According to the poll, former president Donald Trump has a pretty strong lead over Kamala Harris. Trump enjoys 51% of support from voters, whereas Kamala Harris enjoys  41% of support. 6% of voters were undecided.

Cruz enjoys a 46%-40% lead over Allred. 11% indicated they were still undecided.

Texas is a safe state for Donald Trump and conservative candidates in 2024. Nevertheless, the Left is playing the long game here. They’re slowly whittling away at the state and hoping to eventually flip it within the next decade.

They’re doing so by trying to keep the borders open to import a new electorate, while also allowing illegal aliens to vote. To prevent Texas from going to the blue column in the near future, Republicans need to push an America First platform of election integrity and immigration restriction.

This is the last defense in protecting the US from Democrat hegemony.
