POLL: Majority of Voters Support Banning Transgender Treatment for Minors

In recent months, various states have passed legislation banning transgender treatment for minors. According to a recent Rasmussen report, 58% of likely United States approve of legislation criminalizing the performance of sex-change surgeries on minors, which includes 46% who “strongly approve” of such laws. 37% disapprove of states passing laws to prohibit such surgeries on minors, which includes 21% who strongly disapprove. An additional 10% are unsure.
Nationally, Republican voters are the most hostile towards that legislation. 72% of Republicans are in favor of state laws criminalizing sex-change surgery on minors, which includes 61% who strongly approve. 45% of Democrats back states prohibiting sex-change surgeries for minors, which includes 30% who strongly approve.
Moreover, 45% of Democrats disapprove of such laws, which includes 25% who strongly disapprove. Among independent voters, 61% at least somewhat approve of state laws criminalizing the performance of sex-change surgery on minors, while 30% disapprove.
With regards to state laws banning hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for minors, 63% of Republican voters, 41% of Democrat voters, and 54% of independent voters at least somewhat approve, whereas 47% of Democrat voters, 29% of Republican voters, and 35% of independent voters disapprove.
59% of white voters, 51% of black voters, and 65% of other non-black minority voters at least somewhat approve of states banning sex-change surgery for minors. 51% of white voters, 46% of black voters, and 60% of non-white minority voters at least somewhat support states criminalizing the provision of HRT to minors.
64% of private sector workers and 55% of government workers support states criminalizing the provision of HRT to minors.
Majorities of voters across all income-earning categories support state laws criminalizing sex-change surgery on minors, however approval is strongest among individuals earning between $50,000 and $100,000 annually.
Taking on the transgender agenda is one of the populist issues of our epoch. Right-wing nationalists should never shy away from this issue and do what they can to ban the practice. From there, they can mount offensives against the LGBT cabal and restore some semblance of order to sex norms in the US.
