POLL: One-Third of Voters Believe Defense Department Chief Lloyd Austin Should Step Down

According to a Rassmussen poll, 34% of likely United States voters believe that Austin should resign as Secretary of Defense due to his health problems. 46% are in disagreement and 20% are unsure

On January 15, 2024, Austin was released from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, two weeks following a bout with complications that arose from a surgery procedure to treat his prostate cancer. 

39% of voters view Austin favorably, which includes 17% who hold a very favorable opinion of the Defense Department chief. 44% view Austin in an unfavorable manner, which includes 28% with a very unfavorable view of Austin. 17% hold no opinion about Austin.

20% of voters believe Austin has done a better job than most of his predecessors secretaries of defense, while 34% think he’s doing a worse job. 32% of voters indicated that Austin’s performance is about the same as most secretaries of defense, and an additional 15% are unsure.

36% of Democrat voters believe Austin is doing a better job than most previous secretaries of defense, but that belief is held by only 10% of Republican voters and 12% of independent voters. 50% of Republican voters, 15% of Democrat voters, and 37% of independent voters said Austin is doing a worse job than most of his predecessors as chiefs of secretary of defense. 

65% of Democrats voters, 20% of Republicans voters, and 21% of independent voters view Austin at least somewhat favorably. 44% of Republican voters, 9% of Democrat voters, and 34% of independent voters have a very unfavorable impression of Austin.

45% of Republican voters, 26% of Democrat voters, and 31% of independent voters believe Austin should step down as Secretary of Defense due to his health problems. 58% of Democrat voters, 33% of Republican voters. and 45% of independent voters don’t believe Austin should resign.

As for race, 38% of white voters, 48% of black voters, and 34% of non-black minority voters view Austin favorably. 32% of white voters, 34% of black voters, and 39% of non-black minority voters believe Austin should step down as Secretary of Defense due to his health issues. 

Austin was clearly hired to this position because of his race. The US is an affirmative action empire that’s obsessed with non-stop military interventionism abroad and pushing anti-white policies at home.

The result is a decaying empire that is becoming more dysfunctional by each passing day. 

Indeed, Austin should step down from his position. But his potential  exit as Secretary of Defense chief is a band-aid as this system is beyond corrupt and will need a veritable regime change in the form of an America First takeover for things to truly be put back on track.
