POLL: Republicans Continue Enjoying A Significant Advantage On Crime

According to a Rasmussen poll, 53% of likely United Stated voters trust Republicans more to tackle issues connected to crime and law enforcement. By contrast, 35% trust Democrats more on crime issues. 12% are unsure. 

61% of American voters believe the country’s crime issues are worsening, while 16% believe crime issues are getting better. 20% view the crime problem as staying roughly the same.

79% of voters stated the issue of crime will be important in the 2024 presidential election, which includes 45% who believe the crime issue will be very Important in November.

62% of Republican voters believe the issue of crime will be very important in the November election, in addition to 30% of Democrat voters and 44% of independent voters. 

82% of Republican voters, 38% of Democrat voters, and 66% of independent voters believe the violent crime problem is worsening. 66% of independent voters believe the problem is worsening. 28% of Democrat voters, 8% of Republican voters, and 12% of independent voters, believe the violent crime problem is improving.

86% of Republican voters and 70% of Democrat voters trust their own party more to handle the crime issue. 54% of independent voters trust Republicans more than Democrats (24%) to tackle  crime and law enforcement issues.

63% of white voters, 52% of black voters, 56% of Hispanic voters, and 77% of other non-white minorities  believe the problem of violent crime in America is worsening. 

Only 28% of self-identified liberal voters believe the violent crime problem is worsening, compared to 55% of moderate voters and 82% of conservative voters.

As far as income categories go, voters making over $200,000 annually are more than twice as likely than those making below $50,000 annually to believe the violent crime problem is improving.

Crime is here to stay thanks to political leaders’ obsession with soft-on crime policies. Until there is a restoration of law & order, America’s streets will continue to be marked by chaos and dysfunction.
