POLL: Voters are Losing Trust in the “Experts”

According to a recent Rasmussen poll, voters are beginning to lose trust in government health experts.
Per this poll, 50% of likely United States voters stated that the way the government responded to the Wuhan virus pandemic caused them to distrust public health officials. Only 30% said the government’s pandemic response caused them to trust public health officials more, whereas 18% indicated that it did not have much of an impact.
In a similar vein, 53% of voters signaled that the way the corporate media covered the Wuhan virus pandemic caused them to distrust the media. Only 23% said the pandemic coverage made them trust the corporate media more. While 22% indicated that the corporate media’s coverage did not have much of an impact on their level of trust in the media.
67% of Republican voters, 27% of Democrat voters, and 58% of independent voters said the way the government tackled the Wuhan virus pandemic caused them to distrust public health officials even more. 49% of Democrat voters said they trust public health officials more due to the pandemic, but only 18% of Republicans and 20% of independent voters held the same views.
68% of Republican voters, 28% of Democrat voters, and 65% of independent voters said the way the corporate media covered the Wuhan virus pandemic caused them to distrust the corporate media even more. 40% of Democratic voters currently have more trust in the corporate media due to the pandemic coverage, but just 18% of Republican voters and 9% of independent voters share that view.
As far as income earners go, 55% of high earners — individuals making over $200,000 annually — said they trust public health officials more due to the pandemic, but that sentiment is only held by only 19% of individuals making between $30,000 and $50,000.
People have every reason to distrust the so-called “experts.” These people are completely detached from the interests of Middle America and their advice is destructive to the core. A rational society would do everything possible to ostracize these people and relegate them to pauper status.
