POLL: Voters Support Texas Taking Border Security Measures Into Its Own Hands

The majority of voters agree with Texas’ decision to take proactive measures to secure its southern border with Mexico.

According to a Rasmussen poll, 69% of likely United States voters back the Texas state government building barriers at the border to halt illegal aliens from penetrating it, which includes 53% who strongly support this measure. Just 27% are against using government force to stymie illegal immigration, which included 15% who strongly oppose the Texas government’s action.

Following the Supreme Court’s sided with the Biden administration against Texas, Louisiana Congressman Clay Higgins declared: “The feds are staging a civil war, and Texas should stand their ground.” 55% of voters are in agreement with that quote, which includes 37% who strongly agree. 36% of voters disagree with the “civil war” statement, which includes 26% who strongly disagree.

In a 5-4 decision that the Supreme Court recently issued, a stay was implemented to allow Biden regime agents to open Texas’s border barrier, thereby blocking an appeals court ruling that took the side of the Texas government. While 46% of voters are in favor of the Supreme Court ruling in the case, which includes 28% who strongly approve, 49% are against the Supreme Court’s decision, which includes 36% who strongly disapprove.

73% of Democrat voters back the Supreme Court’s ruling, but just 24% of Republican voters and 40% of independent voters hold that opinion. 75% of Republican voters and 54% of independent voters are against this ruling, in addition to 21% of Democrat voters.

89% of Republican voters, 52% of Democrat voters, and 66% of independent voters support Texas building barriers at the US’s southern border with Mexico to prevent illegal immigrants from crossing the border.

77% of Republican voters, 39% of Democrat voters, and 48% of independent voters agree with the quote from Higgins: “The feds are staging a civil war, and Texas should stand their ground.”

70% of white voters, 51% of black voters, and 75% of non-black minority voters at least somewhat support Texas building barriers at the US-Mexico border to bar illegal aliens from crossing.

When it comes to economic backgrounds, voters making between $30,000 and $50,000 annually are most likely to oppose the Supreme Court’s decision in the Texas case.

Americans know that the Biden regime’s open border policies are diabolical. Mass migration has never been popular among Americans despite everything the political establishment says.

Texas needs to continue clamping down on the border. Frankly, it’s one of the few things the Right can do to put an end to this existential crisis.
