POLL: Voters Trust Republicans More to Tackle Immigration Issues
According to a recent Rasmussen poll, Americans tend to trust Republicans more on immigration matters. On this same issue, President Joe Biden did poorly with voters.
30% of likely United States voters have Biden good or excellent ratings for the way he has handled immigration issues
51% of voters gave Biden a poor rating on immigration issues. 50% of voters trust Republicans more to tackle immigration, whereas 38% trust Democrats more and 12% are undecided.
86% of Republicans trust their own party more to confront immigration related problems. By contrast, 73% of Democratic voters trust their own party more on immigration. 49% of independent voters trust Republicans more on tackling immigration issues and 28% trust Democrats more, while 24% are unsure.
48% of Democrats gave Biden good or excellent ratings for his handling of immigration issues, only 14% of Republicans and 28% of independent voters hold that view. 75% of Republicans gave Biden poor ratings on immigration, in addition to 23% of Democrats and 53% of independent voters.
52% of white voters, 35% of black voters, and 55% of other minorities trust Republicans more to handle immigration. 37% of white voters, 51% of black voters, and 35% of non-black minorities trust Democrats more to take on immigration matters.
When it comes to income earners, 59% of people earning over $200,000 annually gave Biden good or excellent ratings for the way he has handled immigration. However, only 25% of people making between $30,000 and $100,000 hold these views.
The Republican Party has a unique opportunity here to cement itself as the party of immigration patriotism. It should not bungle it.
The immigration question is so crucial that we can’t afford to ignore it. If we fail to address this issue, we can kiss the Historic American Nation goodbye.
