Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler Calls for Citizens to Report ANTIFA to Police: ‘Unmask Them, Arrest Them and Prosecute Them’

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler is demanding for citizens to report on ANTIFA terrorists after enabling them for years.
Wheeler has received national enmity for his unwillingness to crack down on ANTIFA thugs. However, he is changing his tune as the left-wing anarchist movement has taken hold and is now causing sustained damage to the city.
“I’ve extended the state of emergency through the weekend. Our job is to unmask them, arrest them, and prosecute them,” Wheeler said in an address to the city.
“I want to personally thank neighbors, family, friends, and others who have come forward with vital evidence. People know who these criminals are. They know what they’re up to. If you have any information, please contact the police,” he added.
Wheeler also noted how ANTIFA terrorists are regularly driven into direct action events. He called for Portland residents to be on the lookout for these convoys of dangerous individuals coming into the city to wreak havoc.
“I also want you to know that these people often arrive at their so-called direct actions in cars and they’re all dressed in all black. If you see this, call the police. If you can call the police, if you can do so safely, that information will help later,” he said.
“Together, we can make a stand. We’re doing what we can today. I’m also asking for your help to make this stand and take this city back,” Wheeler said to conclude his address.

Even though Wheeler is taking a tough position on ANTIFA now, it cannot be forgotten how his weak leadership allowed them to gain a tremendous foothold in Portland in the first place.
Big League Politics has reported about how Wheeler essentially did public relations for ANTIFA as they exerted dominance on the Portland streets in summer 2019:

Conservative critics in Congress and the Trump administration do not find Wheeler’s response acceptable. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is calling for federal action against the Mayor, who told law enforcement to stand down as ANTIFA terrorists committed a myriad of assaults against protesters…
Mayor Wheeler has condoned ANTIFA terrorism for quite some time, but his advocacy may have finally backfired as the far-left menace has finally garnered national outrage.”
Wheeler is now reaping what he sowed. His city is a disgrace and his administration is a laughingstock. Portland may never recover from years of Wheeler’s far-left stewardship.
