President Trump Says Mitch McConnell is Owned by the Democrats, Must Be Removed as GOP Leader ‘Immediately’

President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that Sen. Mitch McConnell is a “pawn for the Democrats” and must be removed as GOP leader “immediately.”
“Mitch McConnell is not an Opposition Leader, he is a pawn for the Democrats to get whatever they want,” Trump said in his statement.
“He is afraid of them, and will not do what has to be done. A new Republican Leader in the Senate should be picked immediately!” he added.
Trump cited McConnell’s Asian wife, Elaine Chao, and her alleged ties to China as a reason why McConnell is compromised and working for Democrat supremacy. He said McConnell has given the “Radical Left the Trillions and Trillions of Dollars that they constantly DEMAND” and chided him for allowing the passage of the dubiously-named Inflation Reduction Act.
This is far from the first time Trump called for McConnell’s ouster.
“I think we’re going to do very well,” Trump said last year. “We need good leadership. Mitch McConnell has not done a great job — I think they should change Mitch McConnell.”
