REPORT: Illegal Immigration is Costing Americans an Arm & Leg

According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), there were at least 15.5 million illegal alien residents in the United States at the beginning of 2022. Its figures showed that at the federal, state, and local level

At the federal, state, and local levels, taxpayers shell out approximately $182 billion to cover the costs associated with illegal aliens settling down in the US. Illegal immigration costs each American taxpayer $1,156 annually.

Illegal aliens only pitch in $32 billion in taxes at the local, state, and federal levels. In terms of net fiscal costs, illegal immigration puts taxpayers on the hook for roughly $150.7 billion.

Back in 2017, FAIR pegged illegal immigration’s net cost at approximately $116 billion. In other words, in just 5 years, illegal immigration’s cost has increased by roughly $35 billion. This brisk increase in illegal immigration costs is a result of the current border crisis and the Biden regime’s lack of border enforcement policies.

The roughly $66.4 billion in federal spending connected to illegal aliens is daunting, and represents a 45% increase since 2017. This is roughly $3,187 per illegal alien on an annual basis.

Illegal immigration’s fiscal burden on state taxpayers has currently reached an alarming $115.6 billion, which represents a 30% increase since 2017. The primary factors behind these increasing costs are an increase in the illegal alien population on top of several states that have decided to broaden access to education, medical programs, and state welfare to illegal aliens.

Overall, mass migration is a net drag on American society both in fiscal and cultural terms. If the US is to survive as a cohesive political entity, it must crack down on mass migration.
