Republic of Srpska President Says Russo-Ukrainian Conflict is an East vs. West Conflict
President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik declared on May 23, 2023 that Russia’s so-called “special military operation” is actually a confrontation between Russia and the Collective West as opposed to Russia and Ukraine.
“We understand that this is not a war between Ukraine and Russia. It is a conflict with the West, which is seeking to use Russia to fan this war,” he said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In response, Putin told Dodik that Russia is thankful to the Republic of Srpska for exerting restraint and neutrality with regards to the Ukrainian conflict. He believes that this mindset “can lead to any positive solution.” The Republic of Srpska is a political entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina. It’s known for being predominantly Serbian, which makes it a bit more sympathetic to Russia owing to Serbia’s long-standing affinity with Russia on cultural and geopolitical matters.
Some of the lesser-known figures on the world stage get what’s at stake with regards to the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. That’s how the cookie crumbles in a world where the West is completely captured by delusions. Will Western leaders get a clue?
That remains to be seen.
