Republican Candidate for Maricopa County Sheriff Pledges to Line Up “Jail Buses” To Arrest Criminal Rioters

The Republican candidate for sheriff in the fourth-biggest county in the country is pledging an innovative method to arrest and transported criminal left-wing rioters.

Jerry Sheridan, who is running for Sheriff of Maricopa County in Arizona, is pledging to utilize “jail buses” to speedily transported arrested rioters to detention.

I will have jail buses, that we transport inmates in, lined up in row to arrest the people that do not disperse, if the protest becomes riotous,” Sheridan told Breitbart News on Sunday.

Sheridan served as a Deputy Sheriff with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office for more than thirty years, eventually becoming the highest-ranking deputy sheriff with the agency.

I’m not fooling around with this. These rioters, they don’t just attack Republican businesses. They don’t just attack and destroy and burn and loot businesses in wealthy communities. They attack, especially small business owners that probably have their life savings, their life work in these places, [the rioters] don’t discriminate.

I will enforce people’s constitutional rights to peaceably protest. However, as soon as someone throws a rock or a bottle that is not longer a peaceful protest. I will declare it an unlawful assembly and immediately disperse the crowd before it becomes a riot.

Arizona has seen occasional riotous looting and criminal activities, but a tougher approach to crime has prevented the rioters from taking to the streets with a sense of impunity. Looters picked a Scottsdale, Arizona mall clean several months ago.

The Phoenix metro area could become a no-go zone for criminal rioters if Sheridan succeeds in defeating Democrat Sheriff Paul Penzone in November.
