Republican Sellout Tony Gonzalez Calls for Boosting Cheap Labor Migration

According to an interview Texas Congressman Tony Gonzalez went on record at, the GOP elected official wants to empower the US government to allow for a large inflow of foreign workers to displace American workers.

The inflow “needs to be where anybody who wants to come and work can do so,” Gonzales said to Semafor.com on April 9, 2023.

Gonzales outlined his pro-legal immigration views:

Just when you think it can’t get any worse, it does … [so] how do you create a work visa program that encourages [illegal migrants] … come [legally] and work and live the American dream through the front door?

This is an area that is bureaucratic, it is so broken right now. One, employers don’t want to go through the process. Two, on the other end [migrants ask themselves], “Why would I go through a work visa when I can just come into the country illegally?”

I’ve been working on some [immigration] fixes for a couple of years now. We’re almost there. We’re just about to roll it out. A lot of my attention right now is focused on [the narrower issue of] border security. But I do think we can walk and chew gum at the same time.

Neil Munro of Breitbart News observed that Gonzales is “heavily backed by business groups who insist that employers should not be inconvenienced by a labor shortage, or be denied a supply of imported consumers and renters.”

Munro called attention to how the Blackstone investor group was a major donor to Gonzales in 2022. Blackstone’s co-founder, Steven Schwartzman, is a major mass migration booster donor who said to Vox.com in 2019 that it would be “completely nonsensical” for the US government to impede businesses’ ability to hire foreign graduates at US universities.

Gonzales and other Chamber of Commerce-backed Republicans played a key role in preventing a vote on a border security bill proposed by Texas Congressman Chip Roy.

Roy’s bill would only reaffirm that the current law prevents the catch and release of migrants into the US interior. DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has largely ignored enforcing this immigration law.

Immigration patriotism is more than just stopping illegal immigration. It also consists of stopping legal immigration which displaces American labor and allows for foreign aliens and their posterity to alter the country’s political system in a way that would be unrecognizable to the founding generation.

The only way to stop this is by enacting a full-fledged immigration moratorium that clamps down on both illegal and legal immigration
