Republicans Enjoy Lead Against Democrats on Congressional Ballot

According to a Rasmussen poll, Republicans hold a 9% lead as they look to keep their slim House majority.

This poll showed that 49% of likely US voters would vote for Republican candidates, whereas 40% of voters would pull the lever for Democrat candidates. Only 5% of voters would pull the lever for some other candidate, but another 7% are unsure.

18% of voters gave Congress a good or excellent performance rating, while 53% believe Congress is doing a poor job. 52% of Republican voters, 47% of Democrat voters, and 63% of independent voters gave Congress a poor rating.

86% of Republican voters would pull the lever for the GOP’s congressional candidate if the election were held today, whereas 78% of Democrat voters would pull the lever for the Democratic candidate. Among independent voters, 44% of voters would pull the lever for Republicans and 30% of voters would pull the lever for Democrat voters, whereas 10% of voters stated they would vote for some other candidate and 15% are unsure.

56% of white voters, 45% of black voters, and 49% of non-black minorities gave Congress a poor job rating. On the generic congressional ballot, 50% of white voters, 40% of black voters, and 51% of non-black minorities are in favor of Republicans, whereas 40% of white voters, 47% of black voters, and 34% of non-black minorities would pull the lever for Democrats if the election were held today.

33% of government employees gave Congress a good or excellent job rating. By contrast, only 18% of private sector workers and 11% of retirees held the same opinion. In a similar vein, government employees are more likely to pull the lever  for Democrats in the generic ballot.

When it comes to salary earners, Democrats have the support of 52% of voters making over $100,000 annually. On the other hand, a majority of voters making below $100,000 are in favor of Republicans.

Republicans will likely have a strong election performance in 2024. American politics is cyclical in nature. On top of that, the Biden regime has royally screwed the pooch in terms of immigration policy, inflation, foreign policy interventionism, and containing crime. These conditions make it easy for Republicans to coast to victory in 2024,

Nevertheless, Republicans winning does not guarantee that they will govern in a sound manner. In fact, they have a track record of governing in a pro-establishment manner. For that reason, grassroots conservatives must continue pressuring these elected officials to do the right thing.
