As a sympathetic Democrat in Congress attempted to endear former special counsel Robert Mueller to the American people, he inadvertently revealed that Mueller does not even remember which president appointed him as United States Attorney for Massachusetts.

When Sen. Greg Stanton (D-AZ) attempted to give Mueller the opportunity to stress his long service to the United States during his congressional testimony, Mueller revealed that his memory is so poor he does not even remember which president appointed him to one of the highest offices he held.

“Director Mueller, I’m disappointed that some have questioned your motives throughout this process, and I want to take a moment to remind the American people of who you are, and your exemplary service to our country,” said Stanton. “Which president appointed you to become the United States attorney for Massachusetts?”

Mueller stammered before responding, “Which senator?”

This prompted Stanton to clarify his question, reminding Mueller he is asking which president gave him the prestigious appointment.

“Oh, which president,” said Mueller, sighing heavily. “I think that was President Bush.”

Confused, Stanton corrected Mueller, “Um, according to my notes, it was President Ronald Reagan who had the honor to do so.”

Mueller attempted to make light of his confusion, laughing and saying “Oh, my mistake.”

Mueller has been roundly mocked by Republicans for his poor memory, speaking skills, and overall disappointing performance before Congress. Meanwhile, Democrats seem to be dismayed that he has thus far been unable to play into their narrative of Russian meddling in President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, or their desire to prove that the president obstructed justice.

Former FBI special counsel Robert Mueller, who has been painted as a crusader for justice by the Democrat Party and the fake news media, could not even answer basic questions about the contents of his own report during a Congressional hearing today that is still ongoing.

While getting questioned by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) in the House Judiciary Committee, Mueller displayed ignorance about the details of his report.

“Papadopoulos tells a diplomat, ‘Russians have dirt on Clinton.’ Diplomat tells the FBI. What I’m wondering is, who told Papadopoulos? How’d he find out?” Jordan asked Mueller.

“I can’t into the evidentiary findings,” Mueller stammered.

President Trump is celebrating the pathetic testimony on Twitter, publicly thanking Democrats for forcing the farce.

“I would like to thank the Democrats for holding this morning’s hearing,” wrote President Trump. “Now, after 3 hours, Robert Mueller has to subject himself to #ShiftySchiff – an Embarrassment to our Country!”
