Sarah Palin reveals that comedian Sacha Baron Cohen pretended to be a disabled combat veteran in order to get an interview with Palin for his hidden-camera show where he plays pranks on celebrities.
Cohen’s politically-themed upcoming Showtime program “Who Is America”? — which will presumably be like his one-hit wonder “Borat” but with more Resistance-baiting Trump jokes — should donate the profits from the show to a veterans group, Palin says.
The Daily Mail’s Chris Spargo reports: “She claims that Cohen disguised himself as a wounded veteran for the sit-down, and that to cap things off the production team knowingly dropped her and her daughter off at the wrong airport, knowing they would not be able to get a flight back to Alaska. A source tells DailyMail.com that this all happened in November, and Palin was with her teenage daughter Piper at the time, who is still in high school.”
Sacha Baron Cohen’s shtick is all about trying to get people in Middle America to expose their supposed bigotries. But now we know that Baron Cohen is nothing but a scumbag who practices stolen valor.
Showtime should obviously be ashamed of itself but likely feels no shame because the left-wing corporate media is shameless.
Showtime clearly should donate their profits from the cruel stunt, and perhaps Showtime should be boycotted.
