Secretary of State Antony Blinken Holds Meeting With Mexican President About Migration Invasion at the Border

On December 27, 2023, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and other leading American officials held talks with Mexican President AMLO to discuss the underlying causes of migration in an attempt to figure out a strategy to slow the increase in illegal crossings at the US’s border with Mexico.

American President Joe Biden sent the officials to Mexico City at a time when border crossings have hit record numbers and there is growing pressure on Biden to stave off a crisis that has turned into a political albatross for him.

“As we made clear in Mexico City today, we are committed to partnering with Mexico to address our shared challenges, including managing unprecedented irregular migration in the region, reopening key ports of entry and combating illicit fentanyl and other synthetic drugs,” Blinken stated in an X post.

The alarming number of migrants flowing into the country has compelled border enforcers to temporarily close multiple railway crossings in Texas and to close the port of entry in Lukeville, Arizona. This move subsequently disrupted business in the US and Mexico.

Over the past month, the US Border Patrol encountered more than 10,000 people a day trying to cross the border.

The December 27th two-hour meeting also counted on the attendance of Alejandro Mayorkas, the US Homeland Security Secretary, and Liz Sherwood-Randall, the Biden regime’s homeland security adviser.

Previously, the Mexican government has taken nominal steps towards preventings migrants from piling up on the border. But earlier in December, the Mexican government halted migrant deportations due to a lack of funding, per an official from the government’s National Migration Institute who was not allowed to speak publicly.

During the Trump administration, Mexico reached an agreement to take in migrants under a policy colloquially known as “Remain in Mexico.” The migrants would wait in border towns for months as they waited to receive court hearings in the US, a key immigration reform under Trump’s watch.

Subsequently, during the enactment of Title 42, a measure that granted border agents the power to quickly kick out asylum seekers, Mexico reached an agreement to take in migrants from other countries.

The US Customs and Border Protection officials announced on December 22 that there were north of 190,000 apprehensions between ports of entry in November. US officials stated that they “removed or returned” more than 400,000 people between May and the end of November.

“We are facing a serious challenge along the southwest border, and C.B.P. and our federal partners need more resources from Congress — as outlined in the supplemental budget request — to enhance border security and America’s national security,” Troy Miller, the acting leader of the border agency, declared in a statement on December 22.

There is clearly a crisis at the southern border with Mexico. However, the ruling class in the US does not want to do anything productive about it. If anything, they want to continue fomenting it so that the Great Replacement agenda continues apace.

A new political class is needed for the US to reassert its sovereignty on the border with Mexico and preserve the country/s ethnic stock.
