Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Ridiculously Compares Volodymyr Zelensky to George Washington
On June 24, 2022, former Secretary of State and CIA Director Mike Pompeo gave a speech at the foreign policy interventionist think tank the Hudson Institute. In this speech, titled “War, Ukraine, and a Global Alliance for Freedom” Pompeo outlined what appears to be the Washington DC foreign policy Blob’s grand strategy for 2022 and beyond.
Basically, it’s focused on dual containment of China and Russia. The Hudson Institute is a neoconservative think tank par excellence that apparently has significant overlap with the Project for the New American Century. PNAC was instrumental in launching the Iraq War and has been very vocal about getting into a hot conflict with Iran.
Throughout the speech, Pompeo was effusive in his praise for the copious amount of military aid to Ukraine. In addition, he praised NATO and Indo-Pacific alliances such as the QUAD and AUKUS for their efforts to contain China’s rise in East Asia.
Pompeo described “Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan” as “the three lighthouses for liberty” which he called on the Collective West to support.
Funny enough, as Caitlin Johnstone points out, the three “lighthouses” “just so happen to be the hottest points of geostrategic conflict with the top three opponents of the US empire: Russia, Iran, and China.”
“By aiding Ukraine, we undermined the creation of a Russian-Chinese axis bent on exerting military and economic hegemony in Europe, in Asia and in the Middle East,” Pompeo declared.
“We must prevent the formation of a Pan-Eurasian colossus incorporating Russia, but led by China,” Pompeo continued. “To do that, we have to strengthen NATO, and we see that nothing hinders Finland and Sweden’s entry into that organization.”
Pompeo took the hyperbolic route by likening Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to America’s first president George Washington. In his speech, Pompeo proclaimed:
I believe Ukraine has found its Washington in the embodiment of a single man. His name is Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He has led the world at a time of great peril.
Throughout this speech, Pompeo called on the US to supply more arms to Ukraine and discarded any calls for a negotiated settlement in this conflict.
The speech Mike Pomepo gave at the Hudson Institute was a disgrace to America First. I kid you not, Pomepo compared Zelenskyy to George Washington, called for the US to give even more arms to Ukraine, and rejected all calls for peace.https://t.co/6VKgAys720

The irony is here that Zelensky was initially elected on a pro-peace platform in 2019.
However, once in office, things changed drastically for the Zelensky regime. The combination of increased US influence and the hardening political stances of most Ukrainian political actors pretty much constrained his ability to make peace with Russia during the lead up to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Coupled with the West’s “stealth NATO” approach in Ukraine of providing intelligence, military aid, and training to Ukrainian forces to retake the Donbass, the Russians felt they had an existential threat to deal with in Ukraine. And the rest is history.
Make no mistake about it, an America First movement cannot feature the likes of Mike Pompeo as a prominent leader. His presence is only designed to divert legitimate populist energy into imperial designs abroad while completely ignoring existential issues that affect our civilization such as anti-white hate and mass migration.
Lines will have to be drawn in to determine who represents America First and who is a total fraud. Pompeo fits the latter case and should be purged from this movement accordingly.
