Senate Democrats Boost Bill to Ban Churches From Having Armed Security

Massachusetts Senator Edward Markey is calling for legislation that could ban churches nationwide from using a “security services unit” made up of concealed carriers in congregations, parishes, etc.
The bill is entitled as the Preventing Private Military Act of 2024, and it is co-sponsored by California Senator Laphonza Butler.
The bill’s text prohibits “acting as part of or on behalf of a private paramilitary organization and armed with a firearm, explosive or incendiary device, or other dangerous weapon.”
Another section of the bill outlines circumstances that fall under the category of prohibited activities and includes the use of “large capacity ammunition feeding devices. AWR Hawkins of Breitbart News noted that this is “leftist speak for magazines that hold more than ten rounds.”
Churches are just one of the latest places that the gun control crowd are looking to target in their efforts to turn America into one large gun-free zone. Democrats want to destroy the Second Amendment, but they recognize that they can’t achieve such a goal in one strike. They will have to take gradualist measures to achieve this goal.
Banning the carry of firearms at churches is part of this broader diabolical plot.
Gun owners must obviously oppose each and every one of these schemes.
Giving these people one inch will only encourage further gun grabs.
